Social Anxiety That Causes Anxiety Twitching

Not only can social anxiety be rough, the twitching that results from anxiety particularly in social situations can make you feel like running away from others so to speak. Proud of you for reaching out to tell someone. The good thing is you're definitely not alone in experiencing social anxiety or displaying the physical side effects of anxiety (twitching). So many people feel anxious in social situations to one degree or another. There is much support out here and several skills and techniques you can learn to deal with it. People experience social anxiety in many different ways. This is a safe space so if you're comfortable sharing more we'll do our best to support you. What are some of the situations that trigger your social anxiety?

If you'd like to visit it, we have a great website, YLYV.org, which offers tips you can start practicing to help yourself cope with your social anxiety, too. Six Steps to Curb Social Anxiety is an excellent tip to start with. If you don't already do this, you may find selecting a couple relaxation techniques you're willing to practice at least a couple minutes, three times each day (when you wake up, after lunch, and just before going to sleep), really helpful in decreasing those anxious thoughts and feelings (and possibly even the twitching), that escalate when in stressful social situations throughout your day.
