Counselor response

We are glad you found our website and contacted us for assistance. It can be quite a struggle to go through life with mental health issues such as schizophrenia and depression. These types of difficulties can have a profound impact on your daily life. The good news is that many people who have mental illness are still able to live productive lives when they get the help that they need through therapy, medication, and other treatments. If you are not already seeing a therapist or on medications, it would be a good idea to meet with your doctor and talk to him or her about your symptoms. Your doctor may be able to help you with medication or refer you to a psychiatrist or psychologist for diagnostic purposes to better help with your treatment options. If you are looking for counseling services, we would be more than happy to provide referrals in your area. The easiest way to do this is to call the hotline, which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you are already getting treatment for these issues, then keep it up. It can be difficult to keep it going and it's discouraging sometimes when things don't change as quickly as you would like. It takes a lot of effort on your part to make those positive changes in your life, but ultimately it is worth it for you to be able to move forward. Remember that every bit of progress, however small, is something to be celebrated. From time to time, it can help to look back at where you were and how far you have come. Stay strong and keep reaching out. We are here for you on chat, text, e-mail, and the hotline if you need further support.
